I've taken the first batch of cuttings. I find these will take about 4 weeks to be well rooted for sending out. Likewise so will next weeks batch. After these the cuttings will only need 3 weeks when the day lenth increases and the temperature increases.
My new catalogue is now ready to download. I have all the Gigantic and Jessie Habgood families plus Mark Woolman from cleaned up stock from the micro-proagation company Gentech. This is part of the National Chrysanthemum Society's programme to clean up good established cultivars.
Here's my exhibits at last weeks National Show.
Back row. Amber Gigantic, Silver Gigantic, Peggy Ann, Silver Gigantic, Peggy Ann, Amber Gigantic.
Middle Row. Silver Gigantic, Primrose Jessie Habgood, Bronze Gigantic, Peggy Ann, Primrose Jessie Habgood, Silver Gigantic.
Front Row. Amber Gigantic, Apricot Harry Gee, Jessie Habgood, Golden Gigantic, Amber Harry Gee, Amber Gigantic.
What a couple of weeks I've had. Tall plants are hard work. I got some in last week before going to Harrogate and the rest this week. I say a little prayer for cooler weather. Its been very hot this week.
