Raised by T.W.Pocket in Australia and released by Woolman in 1940 I have grown it both 1st and 2nd crown but I grow it 1st crown now as it has been flowering later in recent years. I root mid February and stop 7th May. |

I use a 10” pot as it is a big rooter and dries out regularly. I grow 3 up to bud then cut down to one, needs buds securing by end July. When the buds are swelling pierce the stem under the bud with a knife with a slender blade. The vertical cut ensures that they don’t crack horizontally. When this happens the blooms have short petals on the side with the cut. Do not over feed. |
